BBN360, a Lagos-based media company, has announced the third edition of the Lagos Youth Awards tagged LYA 3.0.
The Lagos Youth Awards is designed to celebrate outstanding young people in the centre of excellence, Lagos. Nominees are drawn from different sectors such as Legal Practice, Medicine, Media, Agriculture, Public Service, Governance, Tech, Entertainment, Advocacy, Entrepreneurship Arts/Literature and Sports.
Past winners include media entrepreneur and former presidential aspirant, Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi (Most Outstanding Young Entrepreneur); Founder PEPC Foundation, Barr. Luqman Akinsanya (Young Person of the Year); Kosofe LGA chairman, Moyo Ogunlewe (Most Outstanding Young Person in Governance); investigative journalist David Hundeyin (Most Outstanding Young Person in Journalism); Eyitayo Ogunmola, CEO Utiva (Most Outstanding Young Person in Tech); comedian and activist, Debo Adedayo (Mr Macaroni), among others.
In a statement, Kayode Badmus, Co-Founder/Lead Strategist at BBN360 disclosed that the theme of this year’s event is “The Age of Innovators” in celebration of the bold, transformative and boundary-pushing spirit of young people who have disrupted their respective spaces with innovation.
LYA 3.0 is billed to hold on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
“For us at LYA, we recognize the power of innovation to reshape industries, solve global challenges and a create a better future for all. This year, our goal is to inspire, connect and empower innovators. We hope that by recognizing these outliers, we will be inspiring others to embrace their own potential for innovation and change,” Badmus said.
